The game is a celebration of everything that makes Spider-Man such an appealing superhero, with the feeling of swinging through New York being infinitely satisfying every single time. The PlayStation family was graced with the entry of this title, and now PC players can also enjoy the fun of swinging around as everyone’s favorite wallcrawler. It’s just a shame that Switch owners can join in this excitement. However, that’s not to say that players can’t check out other Switch games like Marvel’s Spider-Man. In fact, the console is actually graced with some stellar titles that prioritize smooth movement and combat in a similar capacity. The best games on the Switch that are similar to Peter Parker’s virtual adventures are mentioned below.
10 BioShock Infinite
After the release of the first two BioShock titles, most people were surprised to see the vast open city of Columbia as the next destination for the series. It seemed like a massive departure from the claustrophobic halls of Rapture, which worried some fans when this game was announced. Thankfully, BioShock Infinite managed to prove everyone wrong, with its game being absolutely incredible and laden with an oppressive atmosphere that clashed brilliantly with the seemingly free setting of Columbia.
The game made the most of these open areas in combat by integrating the regular shooting action with the Sky-Line that players can traverse using their Sky Hook. This lets players zoom around the arena and target enemies in different locations, which definitely feels quite a lot like the swinging and battling in Marvel’s Spider-Man.
9 Hades
Hades is a game that used the structure of roguelites to craft a unique story that could only be told as a video game. It’s a principle that Supergiant Games has attached to all of its games, with Hades’ incredible combat system helping it stand out from the rest of its titles and being their most popular release by a country mile.
In fact, the fast-paced combat of this game is similar to Marvel’s Spider-Man in more ways than people might think. Players need to time their dodges and blocks with utmost precision, with successive hits leading to the player absorbing a ton of damage that can be quite detrimental indeed. Along with this, players also need to be on the move constantly, with this combination of fast-paced moves and excellent combat contributing to a wonderful experience in both titles.

Movement is a huge part of why the 3D Mario games are such a blast to play through. This is why everyone fell in love with Super Mario Odyssey the very moment it was released.

After the disappointment that was Marvel’s Avengers, most people didn’t have high hopes for the next Marvel title that Square Enix would develop. So, it was great to see that Guardians of the Galaxy delivered on its promise with a truly brilliant title.
The constant banter might get annoying after a point, but Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is still a great title regardless. The setting and gameplay might be wildly different, but its superhero origins make Guardians of the Galaxy seem pretty similar to Spider-Man in many ways.

The Assassin’s Creed games prioritize free movement and quick parkour. This is an enduring pillar of the series’ gameplay, and it’s easy to see why Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s free-roaming feels like Spider-Man’s building-scaling movement in many ways.
It helps that the story is pretty great as well, with the exploration of a Greek setting sitting well with many fans. The new changes to the gameplay were pretty contentious, but many people would agree that Odyssey was a step in the right direction.

The LEGO games have done a great job of translating their respective settings into this nostalgic format. These games have been excellent in many ways, and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is no exception to this rule.
The charm of LEGO stories coupled with the many recognizable faces in this series makes this game a masterpiece in many ways. It helps that the gameplay is also pretty great and players can choose from many superheroes in the game.
3 Saints Row 4
Saints Row 4 carried forward the boldness of the previous installment, allowing players to basically be a part of a major power fantasy as they absolutely decimate their enemies with ease. While Saints Row 3 was still relatively grounded when it came to the abilities of the protagonist, no restraint was shown in making the player feel as powerful as possible in Saints Row 4.

Now, players could whip out actual superpowers that would decimate their opposition. From flying around the map to unleashing devastating attacks — all enemies feared the very idea of squaring up against the player, regardless of the numerical odds.
2 A Short Hike
A Short Hike is easily one of the most underrated games on the Switch. The title was made in a short span of time, yet its beautiful environments and engaging exploration make it seem otherwise!
It helps that the charming nature of the world and its characters make A Short Hike even more memorable. The title is pretty short — a fact that is stated in the title itself — but each minute spent in A Short Hike while players tinker around with the movement mechanics is way more immersive than most other high-budget games can boast.
1 Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
The Marvel Ultimate Alliance series has its fair share of engaging games that are a joy to play through. However, after the brilliant second entry, the franchise stopped churning out games for the longest time.
So, when Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 was finally announced, it was obvious that most fans would love the idea of teaming up with their favorite superheroes and saving the world once again. While the third game has its fair share of issues, people who manage to look past such problems will have a great time playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3.
