Starr shared a video that combines multiple elements, including an interview of him from Comic-Con and a clip of Homelander during season 2 of The Boys, for a fan-made clip that is equally terrifying and hilarious at the same time. For added effect, the video also uses the soundtrack from what has been typically regarded as the greatest superhero film ever made, Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight.

It’s plotlines like these that will make fans continue to stay tuned with The Boys from here on out. With fewer boundaries than ever before, there’s not really anything stopping Homelander from killing Annie or Hughie, for that matter, because a good portion of the public already has a distaste for the former. Not to mention, since Homelander truly can do whatever he wants now, there’s even more desperation to take him out of the picture than there was in the past, so viewers will wonder how The Boys will succeed in that endeavor.

This is why many fans regard The Boys season 3 as an improvement over season 2. The stakes have truly changed coming into next season, which will make many speculate where the show goes next. Season 2 didn’t exactly do that when it wrapped up. While both seasons ended with Homelander growing increasingly unstable, season 3 spent more time on that throughout its eight episodes, whereas season 2 didn’t really until the finale. All indications are that season 4 will only take things one step further. If it truly picks up from where The Boys season 3 left off, fans should expect an already violent and gruesome Homelander to only get intensified.
