Colony, true to its name, allows the player to maneuver through the remnants of Callisto’s once-functional space colony. Of course, now it’s crawling with hulking enemies ready to smash Jacob into oblivion if he’s not careful. As with all of The Callisto Protocol thus far, there are plenty of hidden trinkets and items tucked away within the confines of this linear space. The assault rifle schematics can be found relatively early in the exploration of this area.

Where To Find The Assault Rifle Schematics

Early in the level, the player will come across Lowtown, which is aptly named for the fact that it is the lowest of the colony’s towns. The main focus of this early section is an area that Jacob can use to power the elevator to get him to Hightown (again, appropriately named). Of course, things are never simple, and the elevator controls are in need of a keycard. Finding the keycard (and the assault rifle) is going to take the player to a ladder to the right of the elevator up into Midtown.

From here, Jacob is welcomed by a creepy, desolate town complete with a clinic, a general store, and plenty of unsettling graffiti. The general store is the red building on the right once at the top of the ladder. Head through it to the exit on the other side.

After exiting the general store, on the left is a room reading L2 Bathroom MT234. Resting on the sink inside that room are the schematics for the assault rifle. Prepare for a jump scare as soon as they’re placed in inventory.

If the player misses these schematics the first time through Midtown, there is another chance to explore the area later in the level.

What To Do With The Schematics

Proceed through the level until coming to the next reforge station. As with all other schematic types, simply having them in inventory when accessing a station allows them to be uploaded automatically.

The UJC Special Ops “Assault Rifle” cost 1000 Callisto credits to forge. While it may not pack the punch of the shotgun, the rate of fire is something worth having in Jacob’s arsenal for the things that are about to come.
